P2P Meeting: Potty Training Support for Children with IDD

Join us for a supportive and practical P2P focused on potty training for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This session is designed for parents and caregivers who are preparing to start potty training or who are already in the process and looking for guidance, encouragement, and realistic strategies.

We’ll discuss:

   •    How to recognize readiness signs in children with IDD

   •    Approaches that support communication, sensory needs, and routine-building

   •    Common challenges and how to navigate them with patience and consistency

   •    Tools, visuals, and motivators that can make potty training more successful

   •    Real experiences from other families—what worked, what didn’t, and what to try next
