WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY LUNCHEON
Each year, the Down Syndrome Association of Central Oklahoma hosts a community luncheon on World Down Syndrome Day, March 21st. Community members are invited to attend this complimentary luncheon to learn more about Down syndrome and the work the Association does in the community.
The inaugural luncheon was held on March 21, 2016 at the CHK/UCO Boathouse. Nearly 200 attendees joined the DSACO Board and staff, and heard from several self-advocates including Sean McElwee from A&E’s Emmy-award winning show, Born This Way.
The next World Down Syndrome Day luncheon will take place on March 21, 2018 at the Criterion from 12:00-1:00 p.m.
