VOLUNTEERING PROCESS and VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES
DSACO has a consistent need for volunteers throughout the week and we love new faces! The process of becoming a volunteer is as follows:
1- Choose which DSACO program or event works best with your schedule and sign up!
Self-Advocate Valentines Banquet:
Join us for a magical night at the DSACO Valentines Banquet! We help from volunteers for set up, tear down, and of course to keep the dance floor poppin’!
The DSACO Easter Egrstravaganza will include a Easter egg hunt, face painting, DJ Partyman, lunch and pictures with the Easter bunny! We need about 30 volunteers to help us with set up, managing the Easter egg hunt, serving lunch, filling the dance floor, and clean up.
Speech and Language Tutoring:
DSACO has hired a certified speech-language pathologist to prepare a lesson plan but she will need several volunteers to help her facilitate the lesson! Volunteers will serve as aids to our therapist and will work one-on-one with each child/teen who signs up! There is no prior training required for volunteers, so please do not hesitate to attend if this is your first time!
2- Please arrive 10-15 minutes before your designated volunteer shift so we can input your information into our volunteer database, have you fill out a volunteer application, get to know you and field any additional questions you may have! You can download a volunteer application here.
We ask that if you need to change or cancel a sign-up that you do so 24-72 hours in advance so we can find a replacement volunteer. We are extremely excited about working alongside you and if you have any additional questions, please email email@example.com or call 405-600-9981.
