Enrichment Lab

The DSACO Enrichment Lab is a dynamic program designed to foster learning, skill-building, and personal growth for individuals with Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities. Through engaging, hands-on activities, the program provides participants with opportunities to explore their interests, enhance their life skills, and connect with peers in a supportive environment.

The DSACO Enrichment Lab offers two ways for individuals to participate, depending on their goals and needs: Enrichment with Bettie and Free Tutoring.

Enrichment with Bettie is a paid, 8-week session-based program designed to provide structured, enriching experiences. Sessions include creative arts, technology, health and wellness, social skills development, and independent living skills (money and daily reading abilities). Each session is thoughtfully tailored to meet the abilities and interests of participants, ensuring everyone can actively engage and thrive. With the guidance of Bettie and our dedicated staff and volunteers, participants build confidence, self-expression, and practical life skills in a fun, inclusive environment.

For families seeking ongoing academic support, we also offer Free Tutoring, a no-cost option focused on individualized learning. Tutoring sessions are designed to support academic goals such as reading, math, communication, and homework assistance, while meeting each learner where they are. You may find the signups for these sessions below.

Whether learning functional math, practicing public speaking, working toward academic milestones, or engaging in creative projects, individuals leave the DSACO Enrichment Lab with new skills, confidence, and a stronger sense of independence and accomplishment.
