The Diricksons are a family of five whose home is always full of laughter, energy, and love.
- Alexa (15) is the protective big sister, always watching out for her younger siblings.
- Cypress (6) is the spirited middle sister with a personality that shines bright.
- Kota (4) is the heart of the trio, and the reason the family says they’ve found their true calling in advocacy and community.
Clay and Erica describe their girls as each having their own light, but together they form a bond that is unshakable. Whether they’re at school, on the dance floor, or cheering one another on at sports events, this family radiates support and joy.
Finding Belonging Through DSACO
For the Diricksons, DSACO is more than an organization—it’s a lifeline. Erica shared how meaningful it has been to find a community that truly understands their journey:

Kota has been at the center of that journey. Her presence has not only deepened their family’s commitment to service but also helped them discover the direction they were meant to go—uplifting others, spreading kindness, and advocating for inclusion.
Celebrating Kota’s Milestones
This year, Kota reached a huge milestone—starting Pre-K. The first day of school was unforgettable as her classmates and teachers welcomed her with open arms. Walking down the hallways with Kota is a reminder of just how loved she is.
“It feels good to walk down the hallway with her, hearing her name and seeing the other kids light up when they see her. ‘Hi, KOKO!’”
In addition to school, Kota has also joined a dance class, where she shines every time the music starts. She’s a natural performer who loves to move and express herself. And when she’s not dancing, she’s on the sidelines cheering for her sisters’ activities—always their biggest fan.
Each of these moments reflects her growing independence and the joy she brings to everyone around her.

Kota is known for her playful personality and fun-loving spirit. Some of her favorite things include:
- Makeup: she carries a makeup brush with her everywhere!
