Fara Taylor

Board Member

Fara Taylor is a Public Information Officer with the Oklahoma Department of Libraries, where she leads digital communications, website content, social media, and public outreach efforts for statewide programs and services. She brings more than a decade of experience in public education, advocacy, communications, and community engagement. Prior to joining the Department of Libraries, she served as Public Education Coordinator for the Developmental Disabilities Council of Oklahoma, helping advance awareness and advocacy initiatives across the state.

Fara has been actively involved with the Down Syndrome Association of Central Oklahoma for many years, previously serving as Vice President of the Board of Directors and contributing to both the Medical Outreach Committee and Education Outreach Committee. As the proud mother of the legendary Beckett Taylor, she has experienced firsthand the impact DSACO has on individuals with Down syndrome and their families. She is passionate about advocacy, inclusion, and creating opportunities that help people with Down syndrome thrive in their communities. Through her professional experience and personal connection to the disability community, Fara is committed to supporting DSACO’s mission and helping the organization continue to grow and serve families across central Oklahoma.
